That flash fiction piece at the end is a masterpiece of an analogy! The image of flipping the sign to OPEN and dusting shelves while no one enters captures the quiet heartbreak of the discovery bottleneck. Reframing a launch from a frantic one-week event into a long-term strategy to build a doorway for readers is the perspective shift new authors need.

I feel triggered by your flash fiction. I ran my own home decor business, and I must have said the same thing, "No one came," hundreds of times, and heard the same reply, "I didn't know you were here," over and over. Oof, I need a paper bag.

I think it's why I panic when I think about marketing and publishing, even though I don't have an agent yet.
