Great interview. As I have been editing my manuscript and being held accountable by my book partner-- he actually hired an editor, thinking she was going to do what he thought and she did something entirely different. We both are learning there are many different types of editors. I had no idea.
I'm sorry your book partner didn't get what he was looking for. This is why I like to have a call before we agree to work together to make sure everyone is getting what they want/need from working together.
I actually have an ebook that outlines the different types of editors, I was planning to just add chapter by chapter (it's pretty short) to substack. I guess I should get on that!
